Asif Basar Dies Due To Suicide At 53 | A Loss That Shook Us All!
Patal Lok fame Asif Basar was found dead today at his private apartement in Himachal Pradesh. He was also known for his roles in Kai Po Che, Jab We Met, Ek Villian, etc.
This year has been a year of great loss as well as a lot stress, and throughout the year we have been faced with the loss of some of the most precious jewels of Bollywood. To add to that growing list of losses, is another of India’s well known faces, actor Asif Basra.
He is well known for his roles in the movie Kai Po Che and the web series Paatal Lok. At the age of 53, he is alleged to have committed suicide.

He was rumored to have been living in a rented house in McLeodganj for the last 5 years. He was found dead in a private complex in Dharmashala, Himachal Pradesh. His case is being headed by SSP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan has given out a statement stating that a forensic team is at the spot and the investigations are in full swing.
One of the first people to react to the actor’s death was filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who has sent out a tweet, “…can’t be true, this is very very sad..”.

Some of his latestworks are, Amazon Prime’s web series Paatal Lok, and Disney+ Hotstar's Hostages. Mr.Asif was so seen in other films like Jab we Met, Ek Villian and such.
All in all his acting career which began in 1998, was glorious but not long enough. His death was a surprise. However, the allegations regarding the death being a case of suicide is yet to be confirmed.
